We support artists of colour in the UK with £1,000 grants to take a leap
Welcome to Grand Plan
We’re a charity supporting artists of colour across the UK with £1,000 grants.
If you’re interested in applying for one of our grants, thank you! We’re currently closed for applications but plan to re-open in the new year. You can find our application guidance here.
Our simple, no-fuss application process has been shaped by artists and, since launching in May 2021, we’ve supported more than 200 artists with £1,000 grants. Find out more about us here.
The combined impacts of ethnicity and class mean the UK’s cultural landscape is much narrower than it should be. We’re reliant on the generosity of individuals and independent organisations to be able to award our grants. If you’re interested in supporting us, we’d love to hear from you.
Upcoming dates
If you applied by 23.59 on Wednesday 21 October 2026, you’ll hear back from us on Friday 6 November.
We’re closed for applications until the new year.
“Grand Plan gave me the freedom to push my ideas to their full potential, helping to get one of my side projects off the ground at a time when funding for the arts is very scarce and difficult to obtain.”
